100x56 Photography on canvas. 2019
The photographic vision that shines through in my works is purely influenced by relational and emotional connections: who we are, our culture, our experience form that peculiar fabric of an individual, changing our main characteristics through expressive and communicative tools, such as photography.
A slow process that is part of a singular evolution, in which you will discover something in common that connects, more or less visibly, personal photographs over time to your own experience: moods, emotions, interiority.
The history of art is full of maternal figures, symbols of love and life. For many artists the relationship with children and motherhood becomes an opportunity to investigate the complex relationship between man and suffering, mourning and death. For others, the "mater" becomes a symbol of pride and protection, embodying a precise ideal of homeland and civilization.
In a deeply symbolic key, recent personal production is strongly influenced by the entire life cycle: childhood and old age seem to be linked by the experience of motherhood that in my photographs take on a central value, enclosing in the connection between mother and child life and its inevitable flow.
