About artist
Fabio Leone was born in Milan in 1969.
He graduated in Electronics but his interest has always been focused on Art, music and drawing, especially for comics. He lives the years of social change, the soul is in full turmoil, fascinated by the posters of concerts and dadaist fanzines that self-produces. He draws on everything, diaries, books... and even on bus seats. It is at the end of the 80's that he founds a punk rock band, bringing all his post-adolescent impetus to music. Having lost his enthusiasm for singing, he enrolled in the evening art school, but what interested him were only subjects related to drawing, sculpture and photography.
In the '90s he dedicated himself to the theater. He studies with passion becoming an actor, director and acting teacher. Fabio Leone since then has not stopped, he deals with dubbing and comedy. He produces and acts in shows, cinema, commercials, soaps and founded two theater companies. In 2014 he attended the Academy of Theatre Therapy and Counseling in Milan, specializing in the discipline that sees theatrical art used for the psycho-physical well-being of people, becoming Counselor Theatre Therapist.
In the meantime he works as a technician always working in distant locations but a very serious car accident forces him to return to the office behind a desk. Bored, he begins again to draw and give voice to his creativity. From drawing with pen and pencils, he passes to the use of spray and markers, mindful of the graffiti of the time of Punk. His first canvas is a satisfactory portrait of David Gilmour made with the technique of pointillism. With perseverance and passion he works hard on the technique starting to process the photo with a graphic program. He creates masks as if he were using stencils (back to street art) but instead of cutting them out, he draws them and instead of sprays he uses acrylic markers. The peculiarity of his works is to deliberately leave the painting incomplete to communicate the volatility of existence.
He prefers portraits to other subjects, almost always famous people (actors and musicians) because they give him emotion in shows, movies or concerts. He is struck by expressiveness in general.
Fabio Leone participates and exhibits in various collective art exhibitions we mention in 2019 in Piacenza entitled "Figures, natures and forms". Milan exhibition "Review Artists 2019" and at the Milan Art Gallery "International Art Price Frida Kahlo" and later art contest "the lady of the stars". Rome Exposure "Art shows itself" at Palazzo Ferrajoli. Padova at Arte expò. Paris Artexpo - Galerie Thuillier Paris. In 2020 in Turin at the special prize of the critics "First International Prize Turin 2020" and in Florence exhibits at the presentation of Artists Yearbook 2020.
