Painted using the ancient technique of the Flemish masters, where from the very first brushstroke no covering colour is used, but rather a colour with a semi-transparent consistency (velatura), which makes it possible to achieve a greater colour range. Overlapping layers of translucent, transparent colour make the painting brilliant and glossy.
